The Distributed EVents Analysis (DEVA) research group came to life in 2006. Our members are young researchers with PhD or close to achieving it. The leader of the group is Dr. Tamás Szirányi, professor and DSc of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences. Members
The goal of the DEVA group is the interpretation and organization of information coming from signals of freely distributed or embedded sensors, mainly of video feeds coming from multimedia-, image- and sound-sensors. Also, the evaluation, recognition and classification of events occurring in different location and time. We place special emphasis on machine learning, data mining, human perception, geometrical optics, optimizations and variational analysis, in areas like image and video processing, biometrical identification, connections with sensor networks and computer graphics. |
